The Diversity Council annually operates student internships during the second semester, and the closing ceremony to conclude all activities of the fourth student internship program was held for 2 hours at the Youngwon Hall of the SNU Asia Center from 5pm on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021. For the past twelve weeks, all activities have been conducted online, including the orientation, three interim progress meetings, team activities, and webinar observations. However, we organized our first in-person event in compliance with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines to make an opportunity to connect in-person. In the fourth student internship program a total of 36 students, including eight international students, were formed into 10 teams, and actively participated in the program. The students promoted their internship activities in a variety of formats; through interviews, video productions, social media promotion activities, holding events, producing webzines, and developing a chatbot program. Through these efforts, they also tried to communicate with other students.

The closing ceremony started with a greeting from the Chairwoman, Prof. Wha Sook Jeon, and the congratulatory remarks by Yongsuk Jang, the Director of the Regional Cooperation Department of Arts Council Korea (thereafter, ARKO). The presentation of the ten internship teams followed. Afterwards, the program overview and review by Senior Manager, Jiseon Jang, and Senior Expert Coordinator, Yookyung Bae presented with the outstanding team award (Team Cheongomovie, Team Luna) presented next. Furthermore, the student internship program was a cooperative project with the ARKO, and reports with domestic and international case studies on cultural diversity were simultaneously drafted during the internship according to the team topics. Four teams (Team Jeongdam, Life of Wise Seniors, Gourmet Diversity at SNU, Team Luna) were selected by the ARKO to be awarded for writing an outstanding report.

A group picture was taken after all interns were presented with a certificate of completion issued by the Diversity Council and a certificate of activity issued by the ARKO. The interns had a time to conclude their twelve-week internship endeavors while taking pictures in their internship uniforms. Each team activities will be organized and posted on the Diversity Council website, and selected outputs will be shared with the Office of Student Affairs, Office of International Affairs, and Center of Campus Life & Culture.
