Presentation at Korea University’s Forum to Promote Gender Sensitivity 

SNU Diversity Council Chair Ki-Sun Hong gave a presentation on the council at the “Forum to Promote Gender Sensitivity” held on Sept. 14, 2018 on the fifth floor of Korea University’s Media Hall. She explained the council’s vision of ensuring that diversity, fairness, and inclusivity are respected at SNU, thereby developing it into a better academic community that can be a model for other universities in and outside of South Korea. The listeners also learned about the efforts that several parties put in over a long period to create the council and heard an honest evaluation of the difficulties encountered during and since its establishment. Finally, after discussing the impact that the council has had so far and outlining its future plans, Professor Hong expressed hope that Korea University would establish its own diversity-related body in the near future and join SNU in working for the cause of diversity.
