Similar to the previous report, “Seoul National University Diversity Report 2018” looked into SNU’s current status regarding diversity, efforts put into supporting all members’ university life, domestic and international exchanges made for promoting diversity in terms of perception and culture, the support for work-life balance, etc. In this report, we featured “non-tenure-track faculty and researchers,” as the status and issues surrounding lecturers were frequently discussed in and outside of the university prior to the implementation of the revised Higher Education Act (so-called lecturer law) on August 1, 2019. The need for greater support for non-tenure-track faculty and researchers has been pointed out in previous diversity reports as well. * English page starts at p.139 |
