The Diversity Council of Seoul National University, established in March 2016 as an advisory body directly under the presidency, aims to gather the will of Seoul National University members to build an academic community that respects diversity and fosters harmony among its constituents.
In order to foster an intellectual community where diversity is respected and creative thinking is encouraged, the Diversity Council has dedicated significant efforts to selecting diverse talents as members and promoting diversity initiatives at the university-wide and college levels.
Diversity is not only crucial for the continuous survival of the Earth's ecosystem but also an essential core value for Seoul National University, an intellectual community, to contribute to the survival and prosperity of our society in the face of new challenges.
To realize diversity, practical efforts are needed to broaden members' thinking to understand different perspectives or thoughts and to reflect them in both life and academia. Values without practice are hollow.
We highly value your opinions and will listen attentively. Please share your diverse voices with our council. We are committed to making every effort to transform our university with your voices.
